6 Month ContractBillerica, MAPR: $40-45hourJob SummaryAnalytical Chemist to conduct analytical studies to support R&PD portfolio of new and existing products. Requirements include technical expertise in method developmentvalidation, optimization and troubleshooting of analytical issues, interaction with and transfer of analytical method to contract manufacturing sites, and competency in use of HPLC, UV, radio-detection, LCMS, GC and other methodology. Perform analytical analysis of both research and commercial products is required including gamma radioactive samples. Communication with contract research organizations required for external studies using R&PD test compounds. Data interpretation, issue resolution as needed, and report writing is also required.Job ResponsibilitiesWith minimal direction, developswrites procedures, and documents results in notebook and report formats. Troubleshoots problems with a range of equipment, procedures and, or automated systems. Accurately describes results to internal work groups. Demonstrates experience with equipmentautomation systems (e. g., HPLC, UV, GC, MS, radio-detectors) and authors protocols and close-out reports.Applies an ability to evaluate data and identify unusual results.Accurately documents results in established formats. Writes reports on all phases of laboratory andor field experimental work with direction. Strong organizational, presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal. Actively promotes safety rules and awareness. Always demonstrates good safety practices including the appropriate use of protective equipment. Reports and takes initiative to correct safety & environmental hazards. Education & Qualifications Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical, Engineering or equivalent.BSBA usually requires 3 -5 years direct related experience.MS usually requires 2 - 4 years direct related experience.Experience working in a GxP environment a plus. Other RequirementsHandling of, andor exposure to, potentially hazardous chemical, radiological and or biological materials. Required to follow all safety procedures, use personal and protective equipment provided.Occasional lifting, up to 30 lbs.
