Job Details:Quality Lab Associate I in Marion, NC6 Months Contract12 hour rotating shift Hours: 7 PM - 7 AM (Night shift)Summary:Conduct sampling and qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis on raw materials, solutions, and components following approved Standard Operating Procedures and test methods in an accurate and timely manner.Job Responsibilities:Perform aseptic microbiological and chemical sampling in cleanroom and facility environmentsObtain samples from the manufacturing environment, ensuring sample integrity and identityAnalyze organic or inorganic compounds to determine chemical or physical properties using chromatography, spectroscopy, or spectrophotometry techniques.Enter data into Laboratory Management systems (LIMs)Prepare test solutions, compounds, standards, or reagents for laboratory personnel to conduct tests.Learn, understand, and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)Follow laboratory safety procedures to ensure compliance with standards or to make improvements as needed.Follow manufacturing area safety procedures to ensure compliance with standards during the sampling processMonitor operational procedures in technical environments to ensure conformance to standards.Operate lab equipment such as pipets, burets, balances, hot plates, etc.Review samples received, logs samples, and enter data into computer database (LIMS)Responsible for general housekeeping of laboratory and test suitesSustain a clean and safe work environment utilizing 6S principlesKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesTrained in aseptic sampling techniquesComputer literateknowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)Attention to detail and strong organizational skillsMust have a basic understanding of laboratory instrumentationGood documentation skills and knowledge of GDPs (Good Documentation Practices)Able to manage multiple taskspriorities promptlyFamiliarity with LIMS (or equivalent system) and TrackWiseMust be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and peersMust have basic knowledge of general chemistry techniquesRequired Education and ExperienceAssociate's degree in biological or chemical sciences or professional certification preferred.0-2 years of experience in the field or related area.Other Duties as Assigned:This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
