Best of all, we are growing!KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESThe Conner Industries Sales Representative position is ideal for the candidate who has had success in sales and relationship building, may be new to the industrial lumber and wood packaging business, is eager to learn and desires great success in sales. This position is a role that will include intensive education on the fundamentals of the industrial lumber business, with base pay plus commission to start. The successful Sales Rep will learn the industrial lumber business and eventually build their book of business by prospecting for customers in our industry. If being an entrepreneur with unlimited earning potential based on hard work and dedication, this is the job for you.DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTSLearn the industrial lumber market and processes required to manufacture and sell industrial lumberUnderstand and effectively present Conner's manufacturing, service and quality capabilities that benefit our industryWilling to take a hands-on approach in all aspects of our businessUtilize and maintain the Conner CRM and pipeline systemCreate and build long-lasting customer relationships on multiple levelsDevelop and negotiate customized pricing contracts while understanding riskrewardCommunicate internally with Conner Purchasing, Production, Transportation and AccountingClose sales by telephone and face to face, traveling as neededManage account profitability and grow revenue and revenue baseManage orders through production cycle and satisfy the customerDemonstrated sales experience and ability to work effectively as part of a teamSelf-Starter and eager to learn, motivated by the hunt and a desire to improveExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize and multi-task with a strong attention to detailAbility to develop and give oral presentations to both small and large groupsWilling to travel; must have a dependable vehiclePotentially relocate to develop new regionsmarketsExperience in sales processes including cold calls, prospecting, target selling and account managementAnalytical thinker with a strong emphasis on data gathering and analysisEnergetic, organized with ability to manage a wide range of projects and prioritiesUnderstand the importance of "˜do what you say' QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experienceCoursework in business curriculum a plusMinimum of 2 years of experience in sales or other customer-facing rolesSales experience in manufacturing or industrial preferredStrong computer skills with experience in the Microsoft Office suiteEEO StatementConner Industries does not disqualify applicants that test positive for THC on the pre-employment drug screen.
