Job Description:

We are currently looking for a Project Manager & Project Engineer who can join our dynamic Northern California project management team in our Sacramento office. This person will work on a variety of Caltrans bridge & bridge retrofit projects throughout Northern California.We are looking for a person that is capable of managing projects and has experience in on site activities such as performing layouts, takeoffs of various items, shooting grades, ordering materials, supporting the field, thinking outside the box, tracking costs and providing budgets to foreman with detail labor and equipment assumptions, is detailed oriented with experience heavy civil construction. This position is responsible to build and maintain a strong relationship with the subcontractors, owner, suppliers and engineers.Key Responsibilities:Work On Site to help solve problems that occur during constructionShoot Grades, Perform Layout and Other on Site Engineering WorkPartner with Project Superintendent in development of a project site logistics planMaintain thorough understanding of the Myers contract with CaltransMonitor project costs and Job Cost ReportAnalyze and forecast monthly Total Cost Projection reportsMonitor project laborLead the project's quality processDevelop, schedule and lead project teams on submittals, RFI's and Change OrdersDevelop and maintain effective relationships with the Designer, vendors, subcontractors and ownersImplement all applicable Safety Programs. Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred3+ Years of Experience in highly complex and related highway or structures construction projects in California.Experienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and self-perform workExperience leading successful project team, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entitiesExcellent organizational, team management, problem solving, motivational skills. Myers and Sons Construction, is a Heavy Civil Construction Company.
