Job Description:

The Safety Manager will be the on-site subject matter expert for all Safety initiatives and will be an integral member of the management team responsible for ensuring the health and safety of all employees at our facility. This position will work collaboratively with all employees to elevate our overall safety and training culture and accountability for all employees.Examples Of Duties Include But Are Not Limited To:Review, evaluate, and analyze work environments and design programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent injury caused by chemical, physical, and biological agents or ergonomic factors.Conduct inspections and enforce adherence to laws and regulations governing the health and safety of vestigate accidents to identify causes or to determine how such accidents might be prevented in the future.Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or spect, audit or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.Conduct safety training or education programs and demonstrate the use of safety equipment.Develop or maintain hygiene programs, such as noise surveys, atmosphere monitoring, ventilation surveys, etc.Attend project meetings to ensure Management of Change complies with Safety Expectations for new installations andor machine modificationsValidate no new hazards introduced prior to and during installation of new all equipment and any modifications to current equipment. This includes all lifting vestigate the adequacy of ventilation, exhaust equipment, lighting, or other conditions that could affect employee health, comfort, or anize IH testing in the facility for environmental hazards related to hearing conservation and atmosphere testingCollaborate with engineering to institute control or remedial measures for hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions or equipment.Consult with other CFLEX sites regarding safe equipment and Best PracticesProvide new-employee health and safety orientations and develop materials for these presentations.Conduct annual required health and safety training programs.Coordinate "right-to-know" Hazardous Communication training programs regarding hazardous chemicals or other substances.Maintain and update emergency action plan response plans or procedures and review with staff annuallyInspect specified areas to ensure the presence of fire prevention equipment, safety equipment, or first-aid spect Audit work environments to ensure safety for LOTO, Electrical work and working at heightsConduct audits of hazardous waste storage on-site.Performs other similar and related duties as assigned.Position RequirementsA minimum of 3 years of experience as a safety and occupational health professional in a manufacturing environmentBachelor's Degree preferredAbility to communicate, lead, and collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization to ensure understanding and compliance with EHS initiatives, projects, and proceduresKnowledge of and experience with applicable legal and regulatory requirements that govern worker health and safety (OSHA, DHEC, etc.)Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demandsEffective written and verbal communication skillsSkilled at general project management practicesKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)Flexibility to support a multi-shift operation and changing business needs
