City Wide Facility Solutions is actively seeking a full time Evening Shift Night Manager for our Central New Jersey office Working hours are typically 3pm - 11pm or 4pm-12am, but can be flexible.City Wide, the nation's leading management company in the building maintenance industry, provides solutions to a wide range of issues clients face at their facilities. We believe in doing business the right way and are looking for people that feel the same way.ObjectiveThe Night Manager is responsible for ensuring that our Independent Contractors (IC) are providing janitorial and other maintenance services that meet our quality standards and fulfill our client's scope of work. The Night Manager will visit client facilities across Central New Jersey, such as warehouses, distribution centers, auto dealerships, industrial plants, offices, and medical facilities. The Night Manager must be able to exercise good judgment in escalating issues, providing proactive coaching to address performance shortfalls, and be willing to "roll up their sleeves" when necessary to solve problems.Essential FunctionsDevelop and maintain productive, working relationships with Independent Contractors (IC) and In-House labor by communicating client priorities and collaborating on solving problemsReview scope of work and ensure quality assuranceCommunicate with Facility Services Manager daily for any issues that need immediate attention, including a nightly recap via emailMake recommendations for work assignments and terminations when necessaryManage inspections, customer complaints, and customer requests following City Wide policies and proceduresOversee both new client starts and new startsEnsure compliance with client policies & procedures, approved cleaning tools and equipment and their proper useOther duties as necessaryRequirementsPosition RequirementsTypical working hours 3pm - 11pmHigh school diploma required or equivalent experience in commercial janitorial services industry. Three years of prior experience in management; coaching, motivating, developing, and leading a team in multi-unit or locationsStrong planning, organization skills, and attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsMust be innovative and strive for continuous process improvementBilingual Spanish is a mustHandyman, carpet cleaning, stripwax, etc. or other relevant experience a plusPhysical DemandsThe physical demands are representative of requirements that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
