REPORTS TO: VICE PRESIDENT OF SALESBasic Function: The Workplace Consultant plays a pivotal role in developing new business opportunities by leveraging various sales strategies such as prospecting, networking, and cold calling, while also nurturing existing client relationships. This position is responsible for overseeing the entire order process, collaborating closely with the Credit Department to ensure prompt payment collection, and providing guidance to Sales Coordinators in coordination with the Director of Order Fulfillment. The successful candidate will consistently surpass sales volume and profit targets.Job Responsibilities:Proactive Prospecting: Identify potential prospects and clients through referrals, networking events, professional associations, industry publications, websites, and moreIn-depth Research: Conduct comprehensive research to understand prospects' products, industries, structures, and potential as future clients; use this information to qualify leads and create effective call or first contact strategies and sales plansEffective Communication: Execute call or first contact strategies, build rapport with prospects, and schedule consultative meetings and presentations to secure future business opportunitiesCustomized Sales Presentations: Develop, administer, and adapt sales presentations in alignment with the prepared sales planQuotation Preparation: Prepare quotations and RFPs for client review, including budgeting, pricing, profit margin determination, and internal resource alignmentSeamless Order Processing: Forward approved client quotes to Sales Administration for order entry and maintenanceInstallation Coordination: Ensure smooth installations by preparing instructions, monitoring preparation plans, and coordinating with various internal departmentsCredit and Collections: Comply with company credit and collections policies, assisting customers with credit applications, securing deposits, and resolving payment obstaclesDelinquent Funds Collection: Act as a liaison between customers and Credit and Collections to resolve price discrepancies, damage claims, and authorization issuesContinuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and products by attending educational workshops and maintaining professional networksMarket Intelligence: Monitor competition by gathering marketplace information on pricing, products, new developments, and delivery schedules; provide recommendations for product and service improvements to the Sales ManagerTeam Collaboration: Contribute to team goals and success by providing support as neededClient Servicing: Maintain and expand relationships with existing accounts through continuous needs analysis and follow-upSpecial Projects: Undertake special projects as assignedQualifications:Skills & AbilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Windows, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PublisherUnderstanding of Hedberg or completion of Hedberg trainingStrong oral, presentation, written, and interpersonal skillsSelf-directed with a proactive approach and problem-solving abilityExcellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening skillsAttention to detail and strong organizational and scheduling skillsAnalytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to thrive in a multitasking environmentProfessional and polished appearanceGoal-oriented and highly motivatedEnthusiastic and optimistic attitudeDesign background or furniture dealership experience preferredLevel of EducationTrainingLicense:BABS degree preferredExperience:Three or more years of sales experience with measurable success, preferably in a business-to-business contextWe offer an excellent compensation package and benefits to qualified candidates.
