Job description EVENT SALES MANAGER King Of Prussia PAABOUT THE JOB:The position of Event Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing the restaurant's Private Dining space to meetexceed sales goals in King of Prussia PA. The position will solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business by preforming and producing outside sales calls, mailings, networking, etc. providing sales and service of Guest from the time of booking to the actual event. Responsible for ensuring all events, conform to the Guests desired specifications by planning and coordinating all the event's activities. Supports the operational aspects of business booked and exhibits exemplary guest service.ABOUT US:We are a Boston based Company with 11 restaurants across the country. Join us as we strive to create a productive, enjoyable and safe environment where people can earn, learn and growESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Prospecting groups of all sizes, to produce both social and business, private dinning sales for our Restaurant in Foxborough, MA Respond to incoming leads with heavy emphasis on proactive solicitations Consult with Guests to determine the objectives and requirements for events; plans and assist with executing all events, including coordinating services, such as catering, signage, displays, special needs requirements, and facilities.Handle all group details once made definite by Guest, including the food and beverage program, menu selections, estimated and actual food and beverage revenue and set up.Proactively identifies, qualifies and solicits new business to achieve private dining and company goalsPrepare and send out formal written proposals and Banquet event orders based on Guests specifications that will yield the highest rate of return on investment.Assign group function space effectively to maximize revenue opportunitiesMeet & greet clients, when needed, conduct site inspections, promote facilities and servicesManage the billing process for events by reviewing invoicescontracts for accuracy with the General manager; prepares department and vendor invoices and contractsParticipate in Management meetings, reviewing Banquet Event Orders and other meetings as assignedAssist and or complete additional tasks as assignedIN THIS ROLL YOU WILL:Grow sales through active prospecting of targeted businesses, organizations, associations, and event planning.Enter all prospects, contacts, accounts and booking information in Tripleseat and enter basic reservation information in seven Rooms when neededMaintain weekly updates and details on current leads through Tripleseat, and convert those leads to bookings, accounts, and contacts.Act as primary contact for all group clients, ensuring completion of event details and client satisfaction..Develop quarterly sales plans and solicit new Guest relationships while maintaining existing relationships in the restaurant. .Attend and take part in all company-related trainings, including weekly, quarterly, and annual meetings.Strategize with the General Manager and restaurant to source, plan, and execute local store marketing activities.Create profitable bookings using the yield and all other tools provided to make aligned business decisions.Drive overall traffic.Attending networking events and other public events as a brand ambassador and fostering relationships with individuals and corporations to drive sales and increase revenue.Maintains company values of integrity, professionalism, and Hospitality by communicating with guests in a professional manner, being punctual for appointments, returning phone calls promptly, and all other business courtesies.Effectively schedule and be present for all guest site tours and communicate with the restaurant management team..Ability to be on-site at the restaurant a minimum of 5 days a week and able to work the necessary hours to perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely manner.EDUCATIONWORKING KNOWLEDGE:High School Diploma Required or equivalentCollege Degree with an emphasis in hospitality andor equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field a plus.Minimum of three (3) years' experience in catering salesbanquet management in restaurant, hotel, andor special event salesStrong knowledgeable of the practices and procedures of the food and beverage, hospitality, and catering businessesWorking knowledge of sanitation standards, health department regulations, and liquor lawsKnowledge of wine trends and characteristicsPreferred knowledge of Tripleseat, Seven Rooms, and other relevant softwareProficient in Windows Microsoft Office, Toast,21+ years of ageThe work environment characteristics andor physical demands described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
