We bring access to people who thought reading may be gone from their lives due to visual impairments, strokes, dyslexia, physical disabilities, etc. The BTBL circulates more than half a million accessible books, newspapers, and publications in braille, large print, and digital audio formats annually to thousands of registered patrons with print disabilities in New England and beyond.What You Can Expect in this Role:As a key member of the BTBL staff, you are mission-driven and have a passion for serving others in your community. Today, the BTBL works with 28,000 people in New England and beyond. There are over 150,000 potential users who may need access to our resources. Join us and help us expand our reach into this untapped community.You advocate for and lead BTBL's messaging and brand identity. You have a passion for storytelling, strong design skills, and the ability to effectively communicate across various platforms while ensuring accessibility for all audiences.We'd love to talk with you if you're interested in having an impact by:Developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy to effectively promote our programs, initiatives and missionCollaborating with key stakeholders to identify communication goals, target audiences and messaging strategiesWorking closely with BTBL's content team to ensure messaging resonates using accessible graphic design andor digital approaches (animation, social campaign asset development) and is consistent across all communication channelsWriting and editing compelling copy for various communication channels, including website content, blog posts and emailhard copy newslettersManaging our presence on social media, including creating and scheduling content, engaging with followers, and monitoring analyticsDeveloping social media campaigns to increase visibility, engagement and brand awareness while ensuring content is accessible to all usersEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree in graphic design or related area.Minimum 3-5 years of experience producing and managing multimedia design projects for online and print elements including, social media, web pages, print collateral, advertising, and media campaignsTechnical skills: Salesforce Marketing Cloud, WordPress, Adobe Creative SuiteAccessibility skills - preferredExcellent writing and editing skillsBenefits: We have benefits that put you first, including an employer contributing retirement plan, tuition reimbursement from day one, professional development for our employees, personal days, paid time off and paid sick leave.
