Job Description:

Legal.io is working with an established electronics company seeking an experienced Litigation Counsel. This is a full time (40 hoursweek) hybrid position in Newark, NJ. The initial duration of the contract would be 6 months, with potential to extend or convert. Work to be done:Minimum 8 years' experience at a law firm and or corporate legal department with a focus on product safety or product liability, product warranty, regulatory compliance and general commercial litigation.Substantive knowledge of regulatory compliance and reporting to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).Experience advising clients in all stages of civil litigation including strategy for pre-litigation dispute resolution and risk mitigation, discovery, motion practice, mediation, arbitration and knowledge of insurance related issues.Experience with Environmental Product Regulation, including compliance with EPA regulations, or knowledge of Antitrust Law, a plus.Requirements:Law degree from accredited law school required.
