Job SummaryWe are looking for individuals to join our client's team as Nuclear Medicine Technologist. You will perform tests for diagnosis and medical research. Prepare and give small doses of radioactive drugs (radiopharmaceuticals) to patients, then use high-level imaging equipment to record images of the radioactive material in the body. Physicians interpret the images to study and diagnose an infection or disorder. Nuclear medicine technologists also give doses of radiation to patients internally to treat medical conditions.Job DescriptionNuclear medicine technologists work with doctors, medical physicists, nuclear pharmacists, computer specialists, nurses, and administrative staff.Preparing and administering radioactive drugsCapturing images that a physician will use to diagnose an infection or disorder.Limiting radiation exposure to the patient and staff members administering the testsAnalyzing specimens in the labSetting up appointmentsExplaining procedures to patientsThis role is looking to fill 3 positions for Bronx, Manhattan and Queens locationsSkills Required1-year Nuclear Medicine Technology experience, Relevant Equipment.Standards, network connections and nationwide exchange to continually advance the liberation of healthcare data.EducationTrainingCertificationsAssociate degree (Community College, MBO)A valid license as a nuclear medicine technologist issued by the NYSDOH required.BLS preferred.Additional RequirementsMalpractice Insurance - All clinical workers are required to have active individual Medical Malpractice. A copy must be provided prior to start of assignment.
