Mitchell Martin has an IMMEDIATE Contract opportunity for a Ophthalmic Technician to obtain patient history and charts procedures in the electronic medical records and perform and record visual acuities, color vision, stereopsis test, auto refractometer readings, blood pressure as directed by ophthalmologist in Brooklyn or Staten Island (100% Onsite).Job Responsibilities:Orders newreplacement lenses based on prescription.Handles patient questions during visits and via phone, providing advice and resolving problems in consultation with ophthalmologist.Maintains, calibrates, cleans, and sterilizes ophthalmic instruments and equipment as indicated.Assists physicians in performing in-office ophthalmic procedures.Transcribes physician's dictation into patient electronic medical record, as directed by the physician, according to local, state and federal guidelines.Monitors inventory of supplies and restocks as necessary.Ensures medication and treatment items are not expired.Educates patients on ocular conditions and ocular care.For immediate consideration please contact me ASAP and send me an updated copy of your resume.
