Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Ophthalmological Ambulatory Surgical CenterPer Diem, Part Time or Full Time available!The Ophthalmological Operating Room Registered Nurse in the Ambulatory Surgical Center setting assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with established Federal, State and accreditation standards and ASC policies and procedures. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under hisher direction. Participates in direct patient care and maintains a clean, orderly and safe environment. Schedule: Per Diem, Part Time, and Full Time options available!Shift Time: Day shift - No late nights, weekends or on-call shifts required!Pay Rate: $30.00 - $35.00 per hourPreferred 1+ year of RN experience in a similar setting required - accepted experience includes:OR RN in Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) setting - STRONGLY PREFERRED Ophthalmological surgery experience - Strongly PreferredPre-Op, PACU, Inpatient OR - Scrub or Circulate - Also Accepted Responsibilities:Administers patient medications, coordinates treatments and procedures in a safe, effective and age-appropriate manner.Ensures accurate control and accounting on the sterile fieldRecognizes critical deviations in patient conditions, taking appropriate action and documenting interventionEffectively utilizes surgical preference procedure cards, making and communicating changes as appropriateExercises independent judgement and decision making to control the OR environment and maintain sterile field, privacy, body temp, and manage potential for discomfort, injury, or risks of infectionVerifies operative procedure site and side, with the patient's statement and written consent, ensuring time out procedures are followed and correcting any inconsistenciesEmpathizes with patient, expresses compassion and understanding for the situation and demonstrates care, which is appropriate for the age, and cultural, religious, or ethnic backgroundCollaborates with members of the healthcare team, physicians, and surgeons ensuring the coordination of care between other disciplines and support staff through different levels of careDevelops and implements a plan of care for patients that considers patient age, cultural and religious preferencesSupports the patient's participation in planning for their care and acts as a source of information, articulately responding to questions and providing resourceseducationBenefits for FTE Only: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, PTO and Paid Holidays, Paid Maternity Leave, 401K + Employer Matching and more!
