Job DescriptionThe Home Operations Director is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of Morning Light's award-winning Abbie Hunt Bryce Home, ensuring that all protocols, staff, volunteers, and supplies are in place to execute the Home's daily mission. Creating community impact through partnerships that are recognized for long term value and success.Qualifications College degree required, RN preferred, with 2 years of hospice and health care related experience, preferably with the terminally ill. Strong oral and written communication skills and a positive attitude to promote the Home's mission. Ability to multi task, work independently and be a problem solver. Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines Must maintain professional licensure, if applicable. Must be trustworthy and maintain confidentiality. Basic knowledge of Microsoft products. Must have valid Indiana motor vehicle operator's license and have access to a reliable automobile with current insurance coverage.Essential Functions Provides administrative and operational leadership to facilitate day to day Home operations. Responsible for staff compliance with operation protocols, including medications, documentation, safety, security, and procedures. Collaborates Referral Specialist in communicating with health care referral sources to admit prospective patients. Takes lead role in resident admission process including assessing level of care, risk mitigation, organizing care plan meetings, examining Medicaid Waiver enrollment, and integration with other residents. Ensures maintenance of patient admission records and Home statistics, including capacity reports and patient roster. Ensures procurement and inventory of necessary supplies and food to meet resident needs. Recruit, train, and maintain CNA staff. Ensures that Home is staffed appropriately for patient census. Alerts Morning Light Executive Director CEO and suggests solutions when patient care andor operational issues arise. Acts as primary staff contact with Abbie Hunt Bryce Home Committee. Assists in patients care and directs care.Physical Requirements Must have visual, hearing and mental ability to initiate and comprehend written and verbal communication Requires manual dexterity and mobility to operate and access assigned facility, clinical, and office equipment Requires physical ability to lift and carry reports or supplies of up to 20 pounds Must successfully undergo annual TB test and receive flu shots; COVID vaccinesboosters requiredREPORTING RELATIONSHIPThis is an exempt position reporting to the Morning Light Executive Director CEO.SUPERVISORY DUTIESSupervises Morning Light care staff, on site contracted staff, and daily volunteer activity.
