Valley Solar is one of the New England's largest independent solar energy contractors, located in beautiful Western Massachusetts.We are looking for a talented Assistant Marketing Manager with team spirit and social media experience to join our team.Job Description:As the Assistant Marketing Manager, you will be heavily involved with both marketing management and working directly with our sales team. On the marketing front, you will manage and produce content for our social media platforms. This will include creating original content profiling our customers, our team and our industry, including Valley Solar's participation in charity events, customer case studies, industry events and trends, etc. Improving our social media presence is an important objective of this role. You will also be involved with helping manage our print, TV, radio and sponsorship advertising addition, you will play a key role in our sales team. This will include developing and administering sales team promotions and contests with fun and creative executions, assisting the Sales VP with training and onboarding of sales team members. You will track team KPIs and assist with sales change orders and assign leads.To be successful, you will need to fully immerse yourself in learning about the solar industry and the objectives of our team. Because sales activities also happen after office hours and on the weekends, supporting the sales team will require occasional work outside of normal business hours. Likewise, you may need to respond to social media activities after hours as well. You will also be expected to participate in occasional events where Valley Solar is sponsoring.You will need to become the "go to" person and see yourself as part of a team, care about the team and work with enthusiasm and a competitive spirit and determination to get the job done.You will also work directly with customers on occasion to return calls, set appointments, and improve customer satisfaction. This will require an aptitude for working with people.This is an outstanding opportunity to work in a fun, fast-paced environment and grow your skills in several areas of sales and marketing.Experience working with Salesforce is a plus, but not required.Pay Scale: $48K-62K, or potentially higher, DOEBenefits: Paid vacation, paid holidays, Simple IRA with employer match, health, dental.Responsibilities· Effectively manage social media platforms to raise awareness and drive leads· Create and maintain reporting metrics and marketing KPIs· Manage and expand our social media presence· Create and manage fun sales promotions and swag budget· Ability to focus on the big picture of leads and sales process as well as detail-oriented tasks· Work in Salesforce CRM to report and track sales data· Oversee accuracy in sales materials and agreements· Track sales KPIs for Sales VP· Manage Sales and Marketing technology platforms· Schedule, manage and work at company events· Manage and assign sales leads· Ensure proper usage of logos and brand· Assist in onboarding of sales team members· Bring a positive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented attitude to work· Some customer interaction will be expectedQualifications· Passionate about solar energy, marketing, and sales with a desire to learn· True team player with competitive spirit who will get things done· Highly organized and able to manage data· Experience working with technology platforms· Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with a team· Proficient in Salesforce, Microsoft, and design programs· Experience with social media marketing· Ability to write copy· Able to prioritize tasks and hold yourself accountable for delivering results on schedule· Able to understand and communicate the value of solar energy· 1 or more years' experience in marketing or customer service a plusThis is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
