Minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent2. Hands-on mechanical skills including the ability to use all common hand tools3. Self-motivated with the ability to manage hisher own time to achieve deadlines and continually maintain and improve workspace Preferred but not required:1. Minimum of 1 year of water jet experience2. Microsoft Office experience - Excel, Word, Outlook, Tasks, Teams3. Must be able to rig and move heavy structures OVERVIEW:Position will require working individually or with a small team of Welders, Fabricators, Designers, Engineers, and Mechanics to execute customer projects. Projects include motorsports, automotive, defense, and commercial industries. The candidate will execute the requirements of the work orders and process material accordingly. Candidate will use drawings, specs, andor verbal instructions as well as exercise judgment and experience to plan and accomplish goals. Candidate should have the ability to check hisher own work. Candidate must meet deadlines and document progress. Candidate must be flexible, dependable, time conscious, and be able to move from project to project with minimal supervision. Candidate must work closely with the shop management and be able to conduct hisher day-to-day duties in a highly professional manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Operation of all aspects of water jet machinery & software• Read and understand basic prints• Track, inventory, and organize material• Utilize prints to determine parts not in inventory and order material as needed• Nest work orders to maximize material - ability to use nesting software• Operation of forklift as required• Operation of small crane as required• Cleaning and organization of machine and shop space on a weekly basis• Conduct QC inspection of parts to ensure compliance with print and Pratt & Miller Engineering standardsMust possess the ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing• Must possess the ability and maturity to perform in a dynamic and fast paced environment• Must be able to maintain a clean and organized work area • Must work safely to comply with all business expectations• Problem solve and repair equipment in a timely manner• Manage large volumes of material and determine efficiencies in handling and storing• Create efficiencies with a large volume workload and manage tight timelines KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS• Fork Lift Certification• Crane Certification EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:• High School Diploma • Minimum of 1 year of water jet experienceADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, candidate should possess the following:• Team player• Attention to detail• Good verbal and written communication skills• Reliable• Mechanical ability and likes to work with their hands• Excellent work ethic• Pride in workmanship• Has to be a hard worker and physically fit as this can be a very physically demanding job. • Must be flexible with schedule to accommodate fixed deadlines.WORK ENVIRONMENTPHYSICAL DEMANDS:• Some exposure to moderate risk of accident and requires following basic safety precautions• Continuous moderate or occasional heavy physical activity OTHER REQUIREMENTS:This position will require lawful access to ITAREAR controlled information and employees in this role will need to meet those requirements.
