Our programs cover a range of topics including Health & Wellness, Confidence Building, Coping Skills, College Preparedness, and Financial Literacy. We aim to foster self-esteem, independence, and positive self-image, equipping young girls to make informed decisions and achieve their personal and professional goals.Job Description:The Community Engagement Liaison will play a critical role in enhancing the visibility and impact of Girl Talk Incorporated within the community. This position involves connecting with the external environment to create awareness about our empowerment programs, identifying and engaging potential donors and sponsors, and nurturing these relationships. The primary focus is on building strong, meaningful connections to represent Girl Talk externally and expand our network.QualificationsKey Responsibilities:1. Develop and implement strategies to increase community awareness and engagement with Girl Talk Inc.2. Identify, connect with, and nurture relationships with potential donors, sponsors, and community partners.3. Coordinate with social media manager to effectively communicate with the community and promote events, initiatives, and volunteer opportunities4. Represent Girl Talk Inc. at community events, conferences, and networking opportunities.5. Collaborate with staff to organize outreach events and initiatives.6. Create and distribute promotional materials to raise awareness of Girl Talk Inc.'s mission and programs.7. Maintain regular communication with the Executive Director and Founder to align community engagement efforts with organizational goals.8. Assist in fundraising efforts and campaign management.9. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of community engagement strategies.10. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement community outreach programs.11. Assist in program development by identifying community needs and recommending new initiatives12. Conduct administrative tasks related to community engagement effortsSkills and Qualifications:Experience in a non-profit environment, preferably in a community engagement or related role.Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to the non-profit sector.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a teamExceptional organizational skills with attention to detail*Girl Talk Community Engagement Liaison Job DescriptionStrong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to network effectively and establish strong community relationships.Proficiency in social media and digital communication tools.Strong organizational and project management skills.Passion for youth empowerment and a commitment to the mission of Girl Talk Incorporated.Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Non-Profit Management, or a related field is preferred.Additional Desired Qualities:Creativity and initiative in developing new engagement strategies.Experience in event planning and management.Sensitivity and adaptability to diverse community groups and demographics.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Working Conditions:This role requires flexibility in hours, including occasional evenings and weekends for events and community engagements.We offer competitive compensation based on qualifications and experience.
