You will be implementing cutting-edge telecommunications technology to pinpoint the exact position and speed of trains, increasing capacity, and reducing wait times for millions of riders. Play an important role modernizing one of the largest subway systems in the greatest city in the world. **This is a full-time in person role in NYC. This is not a remote position.Duties and Responsibilities:DirectorManage and participate on a team of CBTC-ATS engineers involved in the concept design, modification, analysis, and construction of MTA C&D (Construction and Development) projects to produce detailed and accurate drawings and specifications, including for MTA-related infrastructure.Design leading-edge rail signaling solutions with a professional team of experienced CBTC (Communications Based Train Control) and ATS (Automatic Train Supervision) train integration and signalization engineers.Update and create new CBTC-ATS specifications.Implement and maintain a data management plan for CBTC-ATS.Oversee supplier, production and manufacturing teams.Support contractors in the delivery of mass transit CBTC-ATS projects.Oversee static and dynamic field-testing, commissioning, and integration of new signaling systems into rail vehicles and associated infrastructure.Support deployment of MTA's new CBTC-ATS sections and their newly equipped train fleet.Provide construction inspection support services and engineering oversight on active construction projects.Prepare, review, and approve: contracts submittals, RFIs, proposals, and cost estimates.Develop KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to monitor CBTC-ATS performance.Act as liaison between MTA C&D and NYCT (New York City Transit) on CBCT-ATS issues.Meet with internal MTA C&D Departments and Agency Owners regarding project CBCT-ATS goals and timelines.Coordinate CBTC-ATS operations with technical stakeholders including planning, electrical, mechanical engineering, and fire protection.EngineerDesign leading-edge rail signaling solutions with a professional team of experienced CBTC (Communications Based Train Control) and ATS (Automatic Train Supervision) train integration and signalization engineers.Update and create new CBTC-ATS specifications.Implement and maintain a data management plan for CBTC-ATS.Oversee supplier, production and manufacturing teams.Support contractors in the delivery of mass transit CBTC-ATS projects.Oversee static and dynamic field-testing, commissioning, and integration of new signaling systems into rail vehicles and associated infrastructure.Support deployment of MTA's new CBTC-ATS sections and their newly equipped train fleet.Provide construction inspection support services and engineering oversight on active construction projects.Required Qualifications and Experience:Director Minimum two (2) years CBTC engineering experience, ten (10) years of related experience, five (5) years in a management or supervisory role.EngineerMinimum of one (1) year of CBTC experience.
