GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Financial Analyst I--Sales is responsible for reporting, analyzing, and interpreting financial sales data for accounting and business operations management. This position will focus in support of the sales function on the professional channel. CORE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Conduct detailed financial analysis and reporting to support sales performanceCollaborate with the sales team to develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metricsPrepare sales forecasts, budgets, and financial models to guide decision-making and strategic planningAnalyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to drive revenue growthAssess the financial impact of sales initiatives, promotions, and pricing strategies to optimize profitabilityDevelop and prepare customer profit & loss statements for strategic customers within the professional channelSupport the development and evaluation of sales targets, ensuring alignment with overall business objectivesPartner with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and insights for comprehensive financial analysisMonitor and report on variances between actual and budgeted financial results, offering recommendations for corrective actionsContribute to the preparation of executive-level presentations on sales performance and financial outlookMaintain centralized database for customer price sheetsquotes including gross to net sales programs and customer notification windowsMaintain accurate records of historical price increases including basis of justificationRespond to information requests from internal customers and others as assignedCollaborate with Sales Operations Manager to plan and coordinate the execution of pricing plans that increase price realization and align timing to market for key customer accountsSupport pricing realization efforts with major customers by assisting in the completion of the standard customer requested pricing and line review templatesAdditional duties and responsibilities as assigned KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: · College degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent required· 1-2 years of experience in business, accounting, andor finance experience preferred· Demonstrated strong aptitude for problem-solving, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking· Must be strategic and results-oriented· Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment· Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver first-time quality product within deadlines· Must be self-motivated· Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills· Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications· Proficiency in ERP and Business Intelligence tools (i.e. SAP, QlikSense, Microsoft BI, etc.)· Ability to present and communicate at all levels of the business from Executive Team to entry level· Ability to travel up to 5-10% of time EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: We are an equal opportunity employer.
