Position OverviewWe are a growing NY based boutique independent insurance brokerage seeking an energetic, growth focused AE to join our commercial insurance team. Wesfair specializes in writing insurance for the Asset Management (Hedge, Private Equity and Venture Capital), Tech Firms, Non-Profits, and SchoolsEducation. The AE will work directly with management to execute primary responsibilities. The AE will be responsible for strengthening our sector focused relationships by providing them with high-quality, professional, and speedy service. Common daily interactions will include key client contacts (CEOCFOCCOControllers), insurance carriers, and fellow employees. Leadership views this position as an integral role in the organization, working directly with management with an expectation that the candidate will be able to evolve and provide an impact as Wesfair grows.Primary ResponsibilitiesPartner with leadership to build and maintain client relationships by developing presentations, marketing material and participating in client meetings. Work with new clients or support a producer to understand their needs, gather necessary data, research policy options, present options, finalize and bind new coverage, cancel old policies, and negotiate with carriers. Work with our current clients to develop risk management strategies and identifysell missing coverage as necessary. Responsible for servicing a group of our key commercial clients. This can include updating and marketing policies, coordinating payments, answering client questions, and originating key documentation. Comply with the company's quality control process and review policies and other legal contracts and agreements. Resolve product or service issues by clarifying the customer's concern, determining the cause of the issue, selecting, and explaining the best solution to solve the issue, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution. Maintain records of client interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, comments, and actions taken in agency management system. Review audits of policies; verify accuracy and facilitate corrections, as needed, between client and carrier. Actively solicit increases in coverage or rounding out accounts during service contacts. Opportunity to assist in the developmentbuild out of employees benefits and life insurance line of business.  Qualifications & ExperienceRequired: 2-5 years of commercial lines underwriting or comparable role with an insurance carrier or within risk management industry.Preferred but not required: Experience with Applied EPIC or a comparable insurance agency management system.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical skills. Experience reviewing legal documents.Moderate Excel and Power Point skills is a must. We expect a candidate to be able to keep up with the Technology that our company often implements to assist in our success.Nimbleflexible to balance multiple tasks simultaneously, with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.A high degree of maturity, a strong work ethic, and an eager to learn attitude.Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required. Willingness to become a licensed insurance broker and grow the industry. Not expected to complete this prior to joining.
