The Deputy Director is both functionally and strategically focused, operationalizing HR strategy as formulated by the Chief Human Resources Officer, translating strategy into an operational plan.General tasks and responsibilities will include: Demonstrates expertise in the interpretation of collective bargaining agreements, pay authorizations, and personnel orders to ensure accurate employee compensationSupports and collaborates with department heads and local leadership on personnel matters, designing creative business solutions in alignment with HR best practicesMentors HR professionals and supervisorsmanagers facility-wide for the purpose of staff development; develops business acumen of direct reportsOversees the employee offboarding process, ensuring timely processing; liaises with Payroll and department heads, as neededDevelops, reviews, and updates New Employee Orientation presentation materials (PowerPoint, handouts, etc.)Determines and utilizes applicable employee relations best practices; fields all employee relations concerns from managerial and non-union staffEnsures timely and accurate responses to Wages inquiries from Central Office and employeesMaintains appropriate levels of transparency and confidentiality in organizational and HR practicesFacilitates EEO accommodations, liaising with Central Office, Bellevue's assigned EEO Officer, and the Employment and Compliance HR teamsLeverages technology (PeopleSoft, OnBase, etc.) and shared services to troubleshoot and solve HR business problemsDemonstrates fluency in business administration language, concepts and strategiesSupervises biannual onboarding and offboarding of Residents, ensuring timely completion and data integrityPerform other duties as needed Minimum Qualifications1. A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Engineering, Health Care Specialization, Physical or Social Sciences or a related discipline and five (5) years progressively responsible administrative, managerial andor consultative experience; or 2. A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in disciplines, as listed in "1" above and six (6) years of progressively responsible administrative, managerial andor consultative experience; or 3. A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education andor experience. However, all candidates must have a minimum of a Baccalaureate degree in disciplines, as listed in "1" above.
