SENCO is a local Nail and Fastner manufacturer located in Cincinnati, OH. We are looking for 1st and 2nd shift mechanics for our manufacturing plant. Master Mechanic pay range starts at $24.00/hr (+$1.50/hr shift difference for 2nd shift) Basic FunctionAdvanced Machine Mechanic with thorough knowledge of Senco Machines and promptly performs high-level troubleshooting and repairs.Primary ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair production machines in assigned areas/departments.Perform changeovers as scheduled.Check equipment for malfunctions, identify the cause of the malfunction, and do repairs as necessary. Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, mechanical drawings, and machine manuals.Perform troubleshooting duties on production machines, auto pack, and Servo feed units. Minimize machine downtime and assist in controlling production rates, scrap rates, and fastener quality. Report to the Supervisor daily on the condition and status of assigned equipment to maintain the maximum level of effectiveness and be responsible for the performance of assigned mechanics. Provide technical knowledge and guidance to lower-level machine mechanics.Is a resourceful point of contact and trainer for new department mechanics.Proficient in using micrometers or calipers and use that skill to detect defects in the wire. Maintain a clean and safe workspace.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsA high school diploma/ GED is preferred but not required. Must have above-average mechanical aptitude. Must be willing to work well with others.Display patience while working with trainees.Preferably has 2-3 years' experience with Senco's machines. Requirements100% of the time, must be able to work with various machines, hand tools, and equipment. Must furnish own set of standard hand tools.Must be able to obtain a material handling vehicle license. Must be able to read and write proficiently.Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.100% of the time, must be able to lift, stoop, bend, walk, pull, and carry +/- 75 pounds. Must be able to withstand continuous exposure to disagreeable noise, dirt, and fumes within the OSHA allowance. Must be comfortable working in an environment where there is possible exposure to lost-time accidents, including but not limited to the hands, arms, feet, or back.100% of the time spent standing throughout the shift.
