Performs automated, semi-automated, or manual laboratory testing. Determines acceptability of specimens and reagents. Performs equipment maintenance, calibration and quality control. Effectively communicates technical information and maintains patient privacy Completes competency and performance improvement exercises and assists with training of employees and students Displays a positive image to all customers including co-workers, vendors, hospital personnel, visitors and patients according to the hospital values REQUIREMENTS: Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college) or Bachelor's Degree Requires knowledge in a laboratory/science related field. Previous laboratory experience required. Must pass certification exam within 1 year of hire - MLT (ASCP or AMT) OR MT (ASCP or AMT) OR MLS (ASCP).
