Responsibilities: The Tool Designer designs mold and trim tooling components and assemblies using 3D CAD software for industrial thermoforming processes in the foodservice industry.  The Tool Designer is responsible for creating and documenting new tooling designs according to the current manufacturing strategy, while interacting with and supporting adjacent teams.Design 3D parts and assemblies using Creo Parametric consistent with tooling design standards while incorporating innovation and continuous improvementCreate and annotate 2D drawings of said parts and assemblies using Creo Parametric and AutoCAD consistent with tooling design and machine shop standardsCreate fully complete Bills of Material and other documentation for all parts and assemblies (Excel, Access)Review for correction other Tool Designers' new parts, assemblies, drawings, and BOMsInteract with Product Development team and production plants to ensure manufacturability and compatibility of new tooling designsProvide basic mechanical/electrical technical support to production plants and external machine shop vendors for both existing and legacy toolingContribute to continuous improvement of design methodology and standardsAssist Tooling Project Manager with preparation of documentation slated for manufacture Qualifications: Skills and Competencies 3D visualization and manipulation, CAD software feature familiarity, complex system interaction, high critical thinking, analytical & problem solving skills, strong organizational skills, excellent attention to and recollection of fine detail, ability to communicate technical concepts in a positive and professional manner, Office Suite familiarity Education and/or Experience RequirementsBachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or Design, preferably with 1-2 years of mechanical design experienceOR Associate's technical degree with 5+ years experience in thermoforming tooling design/similar engineering disciplineOR 7+ years in tooling design/engineering experience in thermoforming/molded fiber packaging3 years of experience in 3D CAD Design software is required (Creo Parametric preferred, Solidworks, Inventor)2 years of experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office products is required Pactiv Evergreen is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.  Pactiv Evergreen is an Equal Opportunity Employer.  All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, religion, creed, age national origin, physical or mental disability, genetic information, gender identity and/or expression, marital status, veteran status or other characteristics or statuses protected by law.  For individuals with disabilities who would like to request an accommodation, please call (847) 482-4320 or email TalentHelp@.  All information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines and applicable laws. #LI-TM1
