We are seeking a passionate and talented Junior Accountant to join our Clients Finance TeamThis is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their career and accounting experience in the healthcare space with a growing companyThis is an on-site position This individual will have 1-2+ years of prior work experience in Accounting Functions as well as Finance knowledge managing tasks and projects to timely completionIdeally this person will have experience in the healthcare insurance payer space, will be a CPA or have an Accounting degree, and experience with QuickBooks and other financial software. Responsibilities: Assisting with Financial Reports: Prepare financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, under the guidance of senior accountants Bookkeeping: Record financial transactions accurately and ensure that entries are posted correctly in the accounting system The Client offers competitive pay and benefits, including: Accounts Payable and Receivable: Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment collection, and vendor management Bank Reconciliation: Perform bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded, and discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner Financial Analysis: Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations of financial transactions Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects as needed Experience: Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or CPA Minimum of 1 year of work experience in an Accounting role2 years preferred Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts, including debits/credits, accruals, and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions to support decision-making Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially when recording financial transactions and preparing reports Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and external stakeholders Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting Ethical Standards: Adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently in a team environment and willingness to learn from senior colleagues Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial analysis and reporting Strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner Certification (Optional): Pursuing or holding a professional accounting certification, such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), a plus The Client offers competitive pay and benefits, including: Excellent health and dental insurance coverage Free vision, life and hospital gap insurance 12 paid holidays Paid Time Off 401K with company match up to 4% Salary range is commensurate with the experience of the candidate
