A New York City-based social services organization is currently seeking a Spanish-speaking Social Worker (MSW) for a promising opportunity with their growing Preventive Services program.About the **Start ** ASAPAssignment ***** 3+ months***** Monday to Friday***** 9am to 5pm (two days a week 12pm to 8pm)***** Preventative Services programPatient ** Caseload of 12 familiesPatient ** Medically Underserved, at risk families and youth**The Social Worker (MSW) *Provide a range of supportive services to families who have been identified by the child welfare system as being at-risk for child abuse and/or neglectAssist parents / caregivers address barriers to their childrens health, safety, and well-being, so that families can stabilize, strengthen, and reduce the need for future involvement with the child welfare systemMake safety-focused assessments of child and family functioningDevelop intervention plans and help caretakers take charge of their respective situations and avoid future child maltreatmentPerform other duties, as needed****Masters Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage & Family TherapyBilingual (English and Spanish)Previous work experience in a helping role with children, teens, parents, or familiesStrong interest in learning Structural Family TherapyWorking from a systemically- oriented perspectiveComputer savvySolid assessment and documentation skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organized
