The Insider Threat Investigator will be responsible for monitoring and investigating potential insider threats. This includes conducting security assessments, analyzing data logs, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing mitigation strategies to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of insider threats, possess strong analytical skills, and be able to work independently and collaboratively to detect, investigate suspects.ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive investigations into potential insider threats, including but not limited to unauthorized access, data breaches, theft, sabotage, and espionage.Utilize various tools, methodologies, and techniques to identify, analyze, and assess potential risks posed by insiders within the organization.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as IT, HR, Legal, and Security, to gather information, collect evidence, and develop strategies to mitigate threats.Conduct interviews and interrogations to gather information from individuals involved in or potentially aware of insider threats.Analyze and interpret data logs, access records, and other relevant information to identify suspicious activities and potential threats.Monitor and track employee behavior and activities to proactively identify and respond to potential insider threats.Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to prevent, detect, and mitigate insider threats.Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and tools in insider threat detection and mitigation.Prepare detailed reports documenting investigation findings, recommendations, and preventive measures.Provide guidance and training to employees and management on identifying and reporting potential insider threats.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Criminal Justice, or a related field. Relevant certifications, such as Certified Insider Threat Investigator (CITI), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), are preferred.Proven experience in conducting insider threat investigations, preferably in a corporate or government setting.Strong knowledge of insider threat detection and mitigation techniques, as well as cybersecurity best practices.Proficient in using various tools and technologies for digital forensics, data analysis, and threat intelligence gathering.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to insider threats and data protection.Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of integrity.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple investigations simultaneously.Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to evolving insider threat landscape.We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages, as well as ample opportunities for professional growth and development.
