The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT systems, network infrastructure, and software development, with a passion for solving complex technical challenges. The Systems Engineer will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our client's systems architecture to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.Responsibilities:Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable IT systems and network infrastructure.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess business requirements and develop technical solutions that meet organizational needs.Implement and manage virtualization technologies, cloud services, and containerization platforms.Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization to ensure high availability and performance.Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline system administration tasks and improve operational efficiency.Conduct regular security assessments and implement appropriate measures to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and other departments as needed.Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve our systems and processes.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred. years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role, with a proven track record of designing and managing complex IT environments.Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix and Windows operating systems, as well as networking protocols and technologies.Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure), and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, with experience implementing security controls and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Kavaliro provides Equal Employment Opportunities to all employees and applicants.
