The Dietary Aide performs designated work and cleaning routines for the Dietary Department.Please double check you have the right level of experience and qualifications by reading the full overview of this opportunity below.Performs defined work routines, using various dietary utensils, supplies and equipmentProvides assistance to the cook in the preparation and service of mealsMeets scheduled meal and snack timesFollows all cleaning schedules and performs cleaning duties as scheduledAssists with snack, salad, and dessert preparation and serving mealsSets up the dining room and helping serve patientsBasic kitchen cleaning dutiesAssists in receiving and storing food suppliesCompletes side work and opening/closing dutiesAttends departmental and in-service educational programsFollows defined safety codes while performing all dutiesAdheres to all appropriate sanitation and safety guidelinesRequirementsEntry level position - will train Previous experience in food service in a healthcare setting preferredValid Nevada Food Handler Certification or in the process of obtainingBasic food knowledgeAbility to prepare food combinations that add interest, contrast, and variety to a menuKnowledge of appropriate safe food-handling techniques preferred. Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
