From TVs to smartphones, and across all types of entertainment experiences, Adeia's technologies allow users to manage content and connections in a way that is smart, immersive, and personal.Read the overview of this opportunity to understand what skills, including and relevant soft skills and software package proficiencies, are required.About the role:The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for wafer fabrication and hybrid bond interconnect integration processes (lithography, etch, plating, and CMP) for a variety of applications that come to our prototype and R&D laboratory. Coordinate and understand all complimentary metrology characterization for quality hybrid bonding results. The engineer will work closely with the engineering and portfolio development groups to promote a strong team environment.Job Responsibilities:Learn equipment capabilities and baseline processes within the shared wafer fabrication center. Develop methods for improving consistency of the unit process modules.Work closely with the broader engineering team to develop new advanced packaging processtechnology and structures for the next generation of packaging.Provide reports and presentations that are accurate, detailed, and well thought-out.Assume ownership of process equipment and or characterization instruments at the Adeia lab. Operate the equipment, assist operators, schedule preventive maintenance, and oversee consumable inventory.Use innovative approach in engineering tasks and work with team to create novel solutions in related fields.Requirements:Ph.D. or MS degree in materials science, physics, chemistry, or electrical engineering.B.S. degree in above fields with 2 years of research and development experience.New college graduate BS in fields mentioned above are considered if ready for a research environment.Enjoys working with a small team. Collaborative disposition in cross-trained teams.Must have an aptitude for learning new skills and tasks such as using and maintaining processing equipment (vacuum equipment and CMP equipment).Analytical, detail-oriented mindset in process development. Consistent and thorough approach for sample tracking, data acquisition, document reporting, organization, and equipment maintenance.Ability to learn new skills and tasks with depth of understanding in the constantly evolving industry environment.Comfortable with the uncertainty of an R&D environment. Energized with curiosity to exploreprocess development.Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrates ability to make technical reports and presentations and discuss results and implications effectively.Highest work ethics.
