Job Description:

We are working with a global non-profit with a wonderful mission, seeking a Controller who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of the organization and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and non-profit regulations. This role will oversee the financial systems including Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge software, ensuring that data is accurate, timely, and complete.Key Responsibilities:Manage the organization's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.Oversee the accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.Prepare and present financial reports to management and board of directors.Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with GAAP and non-profit regulations.Manage the organization's relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, and other financial service providers.Provide leadership and support to the finance team, ensuring high levels of motivation and productivity.Manage the software systems, ensuring that data is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.Provide training and support to staff on the use of financial systems and processes.Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure financial processes are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.7+ years of experience in non-profit accounting, including management of financial systems and staff.CPA or similar certification preferred.Strong knowledge of GAAP and non-profit regulations.Experience with Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge software preferredExcellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, and work effectively under mitment to the mission and values of the organization.Our non-profit organization also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan options, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.Equal Opportunity EmployerVeteransDisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please visit Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
