SiPhox Health is pioneering a revolutionary home testing platform for biomarkers associated with inflammation, hormones, and metaboliccardiovascular health. With 6 out of 10 Americans affected by chronic disease, our mission is to enable new direct-to-consumer health and wellness paradigms to address this crisis. Our chip-based solution integrates biochemistry with cutting-edge photonics, electronics, and microfluidics.We are seeking a photonics intern to join our R&D team for a minimum of 3 months. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to our hardware development while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic medtech startup.Key Responsibilities:Conduct detailed optical measurements and functional biosensing experiments to characterize the performance of photonic devicesBuild and refine experimental setups for effective light coupling into optical chipsAnalyze data from wafer and chip characterization to assess and enhance device performanceDocument results and present findings and insights clearly to the teamQualifications and Skills:B.S., M.S. or PhD. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Optics, or a related fieldHands-on experience with integrated opticsProficiency with photonic characterization tools such as lasers, photodetectors, and data acquisition systemsProgramming experience in PythonExperience with biosensors is a plusAdditional Information:Opportunity to work in a fast-paced and innovative environmentPotential for growth and full-time opportunities post-internshipIf you are a motivated individual with a passion for photonics and a desire to make a tangible impact on healthcare, we would love to hear from you!
