Job Description:

IFG Pittsburgh is actively recruiting a Senior Accountant responsible for preparing timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial and management reports. The Senior Accountant will review financial transactions, reconcile balance sheet accounts, manage the accounts payable process, and perform financial and variance analysis. The position requires strong communication and process management skills, a keen attention to detail, and a solid background in accounting and finance.Responsibilities of the Senior AccountantAssist in the management of day-to-day accounting activities to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies, and external audit.Partner with manager on and own monthlyquarterly management financial and metric reporting and monthly variance analysis.Develop internal policies, processes and procedures that are appropriately tailored to be effective and efficient. This role will drive process improvement and automation efforts to streamline accounting operations.Perform month, quarter and year end closing process.Partner with the accounting leadership to construct month end close cycle process to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting.Prepare and manage journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the general ledger month-end process.Requirements of the Senior Accountant Bachelor's degree in accounting required3+ years of public accounting or private industry experience required.Solid technical knowledge of US GAAP.Solid understanding of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset processes.Experience in preparation of external financial statements and related footnotes.High level of competence with Excel and good working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.Flexible and adaptable personality with the ability to multitask and a keen attention to detail.Possesses strong analytical and communications skills,Demonstrated team player with a can-do attitude who takes a collaborative approach, strives for excellence, and acts with integrity.If you are qualified and interested in this opportunity, please contact your IFG Partner or Dave Lozecki at 412-539-1434 x232 for additional details and confidential consideration.
