POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT The Sales Assistant's primary function is to support the New York Boutique with all aspects of sales, including client service and administrative elements related to selling and non-selling. In addition, the Sales Assistant is also responsible for supporting the Wardrobe Specialist by providing the "St. John Experience" level of service to all internal and external clients, while upholding Brand Values and Standards.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupport primary Wardrobe Specialist with the sales by securing necessary merchandise, place merchandise back in designated area on sales floor, as well as replenishing sold merchandise on the floorConsistently demonstrates Relationship Selling Skills to support primary Wardrobe Specialist to achieve and exceed planned daily, weekly and monthly sales goals set by Store ManagementDemonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with clients, peers and management teamDemonstrates proper etiquette when communicating with internal and external clients (i.e. in-person, phone, e-mail, and written communication)Complete the AlterationBlocking processes in accordance to Company standards (i.e. complete paperwork, follow up to ensure alterations are completed within appropriate timeframe, receive altered merchandise into store, and make follow-up calls with client)Support and assist clients in primary Wardrobe Specialists absence if neededDemonstrates strong product knowledge; keeps updated on new products, marketplace and fashion trendsRemain current and knowledgeable in all aspects of primary Wardrobe Specialists top clientele in order to provide excellent and personalized customer serviceAssists in maintaining primary Wardrobe Specialists client book to standard and generates sales utilizing the client book through appointments and daily correspondence with clientsSends Company initiated mailings for primary Wardrobe Specialists clients: Catalogs, invitations, sale cards, etc. as neededLog COG's for primary Wardrobe Specialist each month for corporate reportUnderstands and performs all POS functions accurately, professionally and within Company GuidelinesAssists in the preparation and execution of stores physical inventories and actively participates in resolving inventory discrepancies - as neededActively contributes to non-selling activities (i.e. primary Wardrobe Specialist go backs, clean up, compliance, etc.)Demonstrates high level of quality in work, attendance and appearanceActively participates in Monthly Touch Bases and follow-upsAttends all required Store Meetings and Events as neededMaintains standards of cleanliness and organization ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and managementDemonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearanceAdheres to all Company Policies & Procedures and Safety RegulationsAdhere to Timekeeping proceduresAdhere to local, state, and federal lawAdditional responsibilities assigned by supervisor related to your positiondepartmentAbility to be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessaryAbility to work varied hours, nights, days and weekends to support the business needs SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position does not have supervisory responsibilities ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPSInteracts with all levels throughout organization including employees and outside vendorsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the PETENCIES:AdaptabilityClient FocusCommunicationDecision MakingEmbraces ChangeHonesty and IntegrityInitiativeInnovationOptimisticOrganizationProfessionalismResults OrientatedSolutions OrientatedTeamworkTime ManagementThoroughness EDUCATIONEXPERIENCE:Understanding of the luxury clientAbility to work varied hours: nights, days and weekends to support the business needsPreviously worked in a clienteling, client-centric or retail environment preferredGood computer skills: Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook and POS systemsPHYSICAL DEMANDS: In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
