Key responsibilities of this role will be to monitor and administer regulatory HR and benefit compliance policies, practices, and procedures ensuring the Company complies with various federal, state, and local requirements.Essential Functions and Basic DutiesProactively identifies and tracks laws and regulations that might affect the organization's policies, practices, and procedures and maintains a schedule of HR and benefits compliance obligations.Manages employee notifications and training, including reviewing appropriate training materials and modules to meet organizations and compliance piles all compliance and mandates reporting requirements including but not limited to those related to EEO, OSHA, ERISA, COBRA, ACA, ADA, and the Department of Labor. Maintains appropriate documentation of compliance activities.Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees to manage risk and regulatory compliance in all operational states.Ensures that the required US labor law posters are posted and updated, as necessary.Ensures mandatory training is scheduled and completed for new hires and existing employees.Leads internal audits related to I-9 and other compliance related audits.Manages handbook updates, as necessary.Ensures all human resources, benefits, and personnel records are maintained as per teracts with management to present updates on compliance matters and interacts with HR teams to provide a general understanding of compliance topics.Works with benefits management to reconcile monthly billing for group plans accurately and timely.Prepares or reviews and distributes information materials for health and welfare programs, 401(k) plans, COBRA, and other programs as required.Provides overall administration of COBRA and retiree benefits including enrolments, notices, coverages, terminations, vendor updating and premium payments.EducationCertificationBA or BS degree in human resources or related field. An equivalent number of years of relevant work experience may substitute for education.Experience RequiredMinimum of three years' Human Resources management experience with demonstrated compliance responsibility.Required KnowledgeSolid understanding of human resources policies and practices; global HR experience a plus.A working knowledge of federal and state employment and labor law.Experience with HRIS and report writing tools. UKG and Cognos Business Intelligence beneficial.SkillsAbilitiesStrong collaborator with the ability to serve as a business partner and provide both operational and people focused solutions.Solid analytical, problem-solving abilities with demonstrated ability to interpret and review significant amounts of data while working in multiple systems.Experience and competency in HRIS necessary; proficient in MS office suite.Ability to research, understand and communicate complex and sometimes cumbersome labor laws.Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously with excellent organizational skills.Good written and oral communication, public relations, and people skills.Great attention to detail, ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work well independently.Ability to travel, may be as much as 25%.Physical Activities and Requirements of this PositionFinger Dexterity: Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.Talking: specially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately or quickly.Average Hearing: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.Repetitive Motions: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, andor fingers.Average Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery.Physical Strength: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time.
