Remedy is thrilled to be working with a Local company who has been in business for years with an urgent need of a Welder.Check out more great details below!The MIG TIG Welder Grade 5 should be able to demonstrate the ability to set up and operate a Mig welding machine.Job Title: Welder, Grade 5 (Direct Hire)Job Type: Full Time Direct HireLocation: Penn Yan, NYShift: A shift (6am-2:30pm)Pay: $20.53hr.Benefits: Generous benefits: Medical, dental, vision, pension, 401K, vacation, sickpersonal time, paid holidays.The Job Duties:In the Fabrication Department the Welder C performs repetitive welding operations to build bus body structural components using stationary assembly fixtures.On the Production Line (East), the Welder C. uses portable fixtures to align and attach (tack weld) various body structures together.Production Line welding operations of the Welder C comprise at least 20% of hisher regular daily spects hisher own work to detect any welding defects and re-welds as necessary.Maintains all tools, welding machinery, safety equipment and personal protective devices assigned to himher in proper operating condition.Follows good housekeeping practices to keep hisher work area clean and hazard free.Carries out all other tasks for which heshe may be qualified as assigned by hisher supervisor.Taking a leadership role in safety and housekeepingBackground Profile:Ensures that all required safety equipment and personal protective devices utilized and in proper operating order and material condition.Sets up the Mig welder to ensure a flawless bead and strong metallic the Fabrication Department the Welder C places steel components to be assembled by welding into a stationary fixture and welds the parts together. Such structures include side, roof, and end frames. The Welder C carries out all tasks for which heshe is qualified as assigned by the Fabrication Department supervisor.On the Production Line (East), the Welder C, with the assistance of a co-worker and using an overhead hoist, sets the bus body side structures on the bus chassis, aligns the sides, clamps in place and tack welds the side structures to the floor frame and to the chassis. The rear structure is then hoisted onto the chassis, and the incumbent aligns and tack welds it to the floor frame and chassis. The rear and side structures are then tack welded together. The passenger entry doorframe assembly is then hoisted onto the chassis and aligned using a portable diagonal fixture. The doorframe assembly is then clamped in place and secured by tack welding.
