JOB SUMMARY: Provides technical expertise to leadership, field management, safety personnel and subcontractors on an ongoing basis. Promote positive cultural change by continuous engagement and coordination with employees, project superintendents, subcontractors and the owner community.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:relationships with site leadershipsuperintendents to assure a mutual understanding of SBU, project and company safety strategy goalsobjectivesand develops policiesprocedures as needed or as directed by the VP, EH&S.with Vice President, EH&S and legal Representatives on litigation arising from compliance activities.oversight and facilitation of the SSSP processas champion of Lessons Learned and Best Practicesa leadership role in the handling of all OSHA citations in region.collateral for Serious Incident reviewsformal inspections on all projects in area of responsibilitythe incident investigation processmeans and methods for the development of first line supervisors.oversight to ensure ongoing application of the LeChase subcontractor prequalification terpretation of new and emerging regulatory standards.root cause analysis on serious incidentsthe application of injury management protocols on all projectsdirect interface with preferred providers in area of responsibility.and maintains sound relationships with key subcontractors.oversight in the management of company's drug screening programs.LeChase Construction in meetings with clients, governmental agencies, contractors, insurance companies and labor union representatives to resolve safety issues or to formulate policies, procedures or programs to further improve safety programming.all applicable federalstate regulatory standards.knowledge of current enforcement policies.sound and open partnership with regulatory authorities region-wide.the regional EH&S budget for approval by the Vice President, EH&S.expenditure patterns for conformance with the LeChase standards and guidelines.participates and contributes to corporate ESH initiativesand manages EH&S personnel across regionthe preparation of reports and proposals for presentation to potential clients.participates in the projectwork acquisition process.QUALIFICATIONS:Education and ExperienceFour Year Degree.15 years construction related safety experienceASP, CSP Preferredknowledge of safety policies and proceduresSound familiarization with commercial and industrial construction.PowerPoint proficiency.Strong knowledge of OSHA 1926 standards.Excellent communication skills. Superior writing skills.Technical Competency in ES&H petency in program and procedure developmentverbal and written communication skillsto:training with both large and small groups.
