Job Description:

The Owner's RepConstruction Manager will oversee the construction process for a Houston-based real estate developer, as retail developments move through the building phase. This position will interact with owners, design teams, and general contractors, to ensure project goals are met. This position requires 50% travel. Responsibilities include: OnsiteOffsite preconstruction, ongoing construction and close-out meetings Consultant coordination (Architect, Engineer, Structural, MEP, Landscape) Budgetsscopes of workProject Accounting Monitoring design intent for construction documents Biddingestimating, evaluations, selection of qualified contractor, creation and execution of contracts Submittal controlcompliance Documentation of progressschedule Plan and specification compliance Understanding of the construction process Review and approve invoices Process Change Orders Assemble and coordinate close-out documents Value engineering of design Quality control of documents and Field Observations Understanding of safe Construction PracticesAbility to communicate with tenants, contractors, owners and Executives
