Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the IT network and Information Technology system for the enterprise. The qualified candidate will help support a high-performing team, manage and monitor existing technology and systems, and implement new technology and systems to support a growing business. The position is based in Houston and requires periodic travel to the regional offices located in Phoenix, Dallas, and Austin. Personal Characteristics:A qualified candidate must be a high-energy individual with a desire to work in a fast-paced, expanding, and well-established professional commercial real estate firm. Beyond functional skills and experiences, this individual must have a keen intellect, unquestioned ethics, a sense of urgency, and the ability to simultaneously execute both tactical and support strategic projects from an IT perspective.Responsibilities: Execute, develop, and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and security of the Company's IT infrastructure and data;Manage vendor relationships and contracts;Oversee the efforts of outsourced IT solutions providers;Collaborate with all departments to ensure IT solutions are aligned with business objectives;Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with technology systems;Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes;Installing and configuring new hardware and software;Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords, etc.;Answering technical queries and assisting users;Set up workstations for new users and existing users by installing and configuring, computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners;Monitoring and maintaining technology systems and networks to ensure uptime, performance, and security;Timely Response and provide resolution of service issues for business units;Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary;Technology and system training for users;Assist and execute IT tickets on daily issues and schedule periodic trips to properties and Regional Offices (Dallas and Arizona);Monitor internal control systems by partnering up with outside vendors on security;Monitor office, property, and network security systems (entry access and video cameras);All other duties as assigned. Skills and Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Certification as an IT Technician;A technical, logical thought process, and ability to stick to strict deadlines;Ability to execute, prioritize, delegate as needed, and a keen eye for detail;Proficient in Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Windows 10. Microsoft Office 365, Salesforce Plus, and Apple OSX iOS helpful;Familiarity with MPLS, cable and fiber Internet, and other telecom connections, is a must;Exposure to VoIP, including self-hosted and cloud products like NEC Phone System;Experience with firewalls, routers, switches, VPN and Hyper-V;Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Visio helpful, but not necessary;Experience with hosted Exchange email;Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
