Job Description:

A large retail company based in the Philadelphia area is looking to hire a Director of Facilities Management. Reporting to the COO, this person will be responsible for managing all leased and owned buildings throughout the United States. Duties will include the following:Negotiate and execute both new leases and lease renewal contractsLead the sourcing, vetting, and selection process for new facilitiesManage construction projects and oversee construction contractsOversee repair and maintenance projects and expensesEvaluate market trends and strategic objectives in order to identify potential locations for new propertiesWork closely with property management companies to ensure all facilities are being serviced appropriately in line with contractual agreementsManage budgets for real estate operations throughout the companyWork with a variety of stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure facilities are able to adequately support existing and forecasted businessStay abreast of industry laws and regulations, ensuring that all properties are in complianceThe Director of Facilities Management must possess the following:Bachelor's degree required10+ years of progressive experience surrounding real estate, facilities, construction, andor property management Effective negotiator possessing deep experience with lease agreements Highly organized with strong attention to detailAnalytical mindset and excellent problem-solving skills
