We are Xeikon!We design, build, install, and maintain complete digital printing solutions for labels, packaging, document, commercial and folding carton. Our US Headquarters is in Itasca, IL, just outside of Chicago.We are currently hiring Field Service Technicians at Hartford, CT.ResponsibilitiesCommunicates with customers on all call activities up to and including scheduled arrival time, scheduled calls, and any deviation that may have occurred.Troubleshoot and diagnose failures, execute repairs at the customer site. Completes repairs within standard guidelines as set by the company: repair time, quality of repairs, amount of rework, quantity of repairs, labor efficiency and other measuresMaintain a parts inventory and ship parts back when necessary at the end of service callsProvide status online during the day including updating service call activity and keeping management aware of any issues requiring additional attentionParticipation is special projects as requestedRequirementsDegree or certification in electrical engineering or technical field is a plusStrong mechanical, electrical, and computer skills is a mustPrevious field experience and familiarity with "road warrior" travel is helpfulWillingness to travel 75% of the time with little notice is required, in this position you should not expect to be home Monday-Friday and should have the flexibility to work on call including weekendsKnowledge of the printing industry is a plusExcellent organizational, leadership, interpersonal, and computer skillsProblem solving and troubleshootingExcellent judgement and discretion, ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines and handle work related stressService minded, professionals who can build trusting customer relationshipsAbility to regularly lifts andor move up to 25 lbs and to frequently lift or move up to 50 lbs, and occasionally move more than 100 lbsWe offer a competitive hourly rate and overtime (including travel time).
