Job Description:

Position Summary:The Church Business Administrator works under the supervision of the Senior Pastor. This role is responsible for the day-to day business and administrative operation affairs of the church including but not limited to building maintenance and management, financial transactionspurchasingexpense management and supervisory leadership of all support staff. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:â–ª      Serves as primary purchasing agent for the church, coordination with appropriate personnel and church officers all expenditures of church funds.â–ª      Oversees the coordinating of a Master Annual Calendar, providing for all church activities, services, meetings, and events the use of facilities and appropriate church personnel.â–ª      Provides oversight to staff, keeping attendance and payroll records, maintaining Human Resource records, and overseeing annual evaluations.â–ª      Signs all contracts and requisition forms necessary for the daily operations of the church and report monthly to the Board of Trustees.â–ª      Maintains a current Church Operations Manual detailing all policies and procedures relating to the day-to-day operations of the church.â–ª      Oversees the coordination of the Transportation Program, working with the files and contracts relating to vendors.â–ª      Communicates weekly with the Senior Pastor and with the Trustees monthly concerning administrative and operational functions, challenges, and progress,â–ª      Responsible to schedule and oversee an annual audit of the financial operations of the church and assisting the Trustees, Church Treasurer, and Bookkeeper to ensure that the financial integrity of the ministry is maintained.â–ª      Oversees the development, implementation and operation of the Information Technology System.â–ª      Directly supervises all church support staff. â–ª      Oversee the development, implementation and operation of new software for the Finance and Membership Ministries.â–ª      Coordinate appropriate ministries, teams, and boards to meet the transportation needs of the church, maintain all transportation assets, adequate insurance, and maintain a regular maintenance schedule on all church vehicles!Facility Managementâ–ª      Maintains an accurate up-to-date inventory of all church property and equipment. Cooperating with Board of DirectorsTrustees, develop an ongoing timeline schedule for continuing maintenance, upgrades, replacement, andor addition of equipment, grounds and facilities.â–ª      Maintains a current Long-Range Plan (LRP) detailing all Capital Projects and Maintenance items relating to the day-to-day and yearly needs and concerns of the church to maintain normal operations of the church.â–ª      Coordinates safety and security procedures for the church. Regularly review insurance requirements for the purpose of ensuring a safe and secure church facilityâ–ª      Establishes and maintains a business relationship with all contractors and vendors providing services to the church.â–ª      Solicit vendor quotes, as applicable (minimum 3)â–ª      Maintains a current list of vendors in the church office, and regularly reviews all contracts and documentation. Minimum Requirements: â–ª      Must have bachelor's degree in business or finance; Masters preferred.â–ª      Strong verbal and written communication skills.â–ª      Strong organizational skills.â–ª      Strong report writing and presentation skills.â–ª      Excellent understanding of Financial Statements.â–ª      Well versed in financial and long-range planning, and budgeting.â–ª      Ability to successfully work with diverse age groups. Desired interestqualificationsskills:â–ª      Non-member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Charlotte NCâ–ª      Experience with Community Church Builder (CCB)  Job Expectations:â–ª      This is a full-time position.â–ª      Employees will work directly with Human Resources as needed.â–ª      This is a hybrid position and will include in-office and remote days as needed. Days and times will be determined by hiring a manager and the needs of the church.  Salary Range:  $50,000-$55,000 including benefits.
