Job DescriptionInstrumentationElectrical (Plant Setting)Title: InstrumentElectrical (I&E)Location: Midland, TX and Surrounding AreasSchedule: Monday - Friday with On-Call RotationHours: 10 - 12 Hour DaysWe have an InstrumentationElectrical Technician job opening in Midland Basin with one of our established clients. Basic job responsibilities include but are not limited to understanding and troubleshooting instrumentation, PLCs, circuit breakers, limit switches, overload relays, motor starters, and electrical control circuits in a Plant and Compressor strumentElectrical Field Technician will have Knowledge and Ability to Perform the Following:Expert level technical skills with troubleshooting instrumentation and PLC equipmentAble to utilize technical skills to troubleshoot pipeline instrumentation, electronics, and electrical componentsProvide field instrumentation support for all process equipment (pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-mechanical, electronic, LAN and SCADA systems)Able to do electrical equipment installations, calibrations, inspections, and troubleshooting tasks to minimize production impacts and enhance the reliability of the operationTroubleshoot Compressor and panels at a pipeline stationInstall wiring and conduit as neededMaintain and Operate pipeline and compressor stationRecognize malfunctions in individual equipment and perform maintenance as necessary to correct problemsOperate and perform activities in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures. (Federal, State, and local policies and proceduresWill lead all facility electrical, grounding, end device, commissioning including loop checksInstall wiring and conduit as neededRecognize malfunctions in individual equipment and perform maintenance as necessary to correct problemsExperience troubleshooting motor starters and VFD'sExperience with Heat TracingJob Type: Full-timeSalary: $35.00 - $45.00 per hourSchedule:10 hour shift12 hour shiftMonday to FridayAbility to commuterelocate:Midland, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In personRequirementsMandatory Qualifications:PLC editing and troubleshooting experienceCalibration and troubleshooting experience with static pressure, differential pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmittersExperience troubleshooting motor starters and VFD'sFamiliar with installing, swapping, and testing single and three phase motorsA working knowledge of control circuits in PLC, Switches and Overload RelayExperience with 120V ACDC controlsAbility to use megger and multimeterMust be willing to undergo Background check and driving record checkMust be willing and able to pass DOT drug screening physicalA minimum of 5-year automation experience is requiredA minimum of 5-years instrumentation experience is requiredA minimum of 3-years industrial electrical experience is requiredAssociates Degree or Certificate in Instrumentation Technology or Automation is preferredBenefitsCompensation will also include: a Company Truck, Company Fuel Card, Per Diem, Computer, and Cell Phone as well as Excellent Gold Plan - Medical Benefits 401K matching, free life insurance, Long-term and short-term disability, dental and eye care in addition to 5 sets of FRCs.
