Leveraging its extensive freight agent network, GlobalTranz has emerged as a fast-growing market leader with a customer base of over 115,000 shippers.The Logistics Account Manager is responsible for the overall freight management of shipments of assigned shipping accounts. This position needs to conduct the necessary activities to a) produce results that garner customer trust, b) complement existing company competencies, and c) produce above-average gross net revenueprofit. This position has broad responsibilities, including freight sales, customer spot pricing, carrier price negotiation, and operational duties.Our Account Managers leverage GlobalTranz's services and freight solutions to nurture relationships and build lasting customer partnerships. Account Managers are responsible for operating and managing their customer accounts by serving as a dedicated manager who ensures operational standards are met in terms of quoting, booking, managing, and developing customer accounts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Serve as a consultative resource to customers regarding service offerings, market trends, and industry standards, and effectively provide quotes considering all variable factorsProactively develop strategies and solutions that address each client's unique challenges.Quote customer's spot and contractual freight opportunitiesSustain customer relationships and customer growth on accounts awarded to youNegotiate prices with carriers and develop a carrier base around lanesManage both broker and customer service aspects of assigned shipments and accountsEnsure proper and sufficient communication is provided regarding Customer payment issues, operational issues, potential issues, or any foreseen issues, pricing concerns, customer needs (current and potential), customer leads, etc.Ensure operating procedures and protocols are adhered to.Be aggressively responsive to other company operating units and their needs.Deliver cost-effective solutions that always keep the customer's long-term interest as the first priority.Ensure the performance of our agency's annual goals and objectives through individual goal success.  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:At least one year of freight brokerage experience is requiredA High School Diploma or equivalent is requiredSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Demonstrable knowledge of the freight brokeragetrucking industryExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong negotiation skills - persuasiveness, aggressiveness, confidence, resilience.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skillsStrong organization and time management skillsSelf-starter capable of working independently and making decisions with limited supervisionAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet performance metricsBasic PC skills- Microsoft Excel, Word
