Job Summary Appropriate specimen collection and corresponding orders for diagnostic testing. Performance and appropriate documentation of diagnostic testing. Accurate and timely reporting of diagnostic testing. Performance and interpretation of Quality Control/Calibration and participation in all quality assessment/improvement activities. Maintaining clinical competency through on-going education and professional development. Demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status.  Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department. Education and/or Experience Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science. Minimum:  Clinical internship/education as part of Associate Degree Program. Licensure/Certification/Registration National Certification: MLT (ASCP) or equivalent. Certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire date. Work Schedule Day/Evening shifts; 72 hours every 2 weeks 7:30 am - 8:00 pm; shifts range from 8 hours to 11 hours  Every 3rd weekend / holiday  Pay The hourly range for this position is listed below.
