Schedule:• Monday through Friday 9:30am-6:30pmSkills and Qualifications:• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience• Active listening and learning skills.• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.• Ability to sort and file material correctly by alphabetical system basic math and keyboarding skills• Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions• Attention to details, flexibility and focus are essential• Ability to multi-task in an environment where interaction with others is constant and interruptions are frequent• Ability to protect patient's rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information• Must have a neat and friendly professional appearance and high level of personal and dental hygiene. Major Responsibilities/Tasks: • Position imaging equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance, according to specification of examination.• Position patient on examining table and set up and adjust equipment to obtain optimum view of specific body area as requested by physician.• Monitor patients' conditions and reactions, reporting abnormal signs to physician.• Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan.• Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff.• Review and evaluate developed x-rays, video tape, or computer-generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.• Determine patients' x-ray needs by reading requests or instructions from physicians.• Prepare contrast material, radiopharmaceuticals, or anesthetic or antispasmodic drugs under the direction of a radiologist.• Process exposed radiographs using film processors or computer generated methods.• Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.• Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.• Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes (not including computers or vehicles).• Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form.• Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.• Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
