At Doncasters we have an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager to join our team. Ideally you will be based near one of our US sites in Groton, CT or Oxford, AL working in a hybrid model.The RoleAs the Tax Manager in the US you will take the lead on raising the profile of tax across the US and Mexico. You will lead on the US compliance obligations and be responsible for delivering year end reporting (under IFRS), controlling tax risks and maximizing tax incentives in line with Doncasters global tax strategy.On a day-to-day basis your role will involve:Income TaxesOversight of the federal and state tax compliance cycle. Working with external advisors, who prepare the federal and state returns, you will work closely with the business sites to ensure a smooth compliance cycleProactively identify and maximize tax incentivesEarly identification and control of tax risksClose oversight of our Mexican tax obligationsManage Transfer Pricing defend filed positionsOther TaxesWorking across various business sites to put a framework in place for ensuring compliance across non-Income tax areas, e.g. Sale & Use, PropertyCollaborating with HR teams on day-to-day employment tax matters, which may include global mobility issues ReportingDoncasters is a UK headquartered business, which reports under IFRS. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end IFRS tax reporting cycle for the US, e.g. preparing and sending tax packs to local sites, working with external sites to calculate the IFRS tax balances, posting journals and working with external auditors Working with the businessWith business locations across the US and Mexico you need to be able to build strong relationships with various finance teams, often remotely, to make a success of this roleExperience and Qualifications:We are seeking an individual who has significant experience of US federal and state tax laws.
