Job Description:

The Project Engineer will collaborate with civil engineers, land planners, landscape architects, and CAD designers to design various types of land development projects.Essential FunctionsCivil design for residential, commercial, and municipal projectsPerform construction permitting for soil erosion/sedimentation control, NPDES stormwater discharge, sanitary sewer, watermain, MDEQ wetland/floodplain, and MDOT commercial drivewayAutoCAD Civil 3D draftingParticipate in site visits, agency meetings, and municipal meetings as neededCommunicate effectively with team members and clientsEssential Skills for Performing the JobSelf-motivatedDetail-orientedProblem-solvingEffective written and verbal communicationRequired Education and ExperienceBachelors of Science in Civil EngineeringAutoCAD Civil 3D5 + years of experience in private land development civil engineering designProfessional Engineer Licensure or ability to obtain within 2 yearsPosition Type/Expected HoursThis is a full-time position. Some flexibility in hours is permitted, but s/he must be available during the standard work hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.Physical DemandsThis position is a combination of sedentary work, with some field and travel-related work. An employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, reach, type, talk, hear, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, push, pull, carry, and lift.
