Whether you want to lead more, innovate more, learn more or create more, you can find your more with Mohawk.What You'll DoSupervises hourly personnel involved with maintenance, repair, programming and servicing of plant facilities and equipmentAssists safety specialist with training as required to maintain necessary technical skills and a safe environmentEnsures that all safety and environmental standards are achieved and technical documents related to maintenance and safety are maintainedAssists shift supervisors in maintaining a clean and safe work environment for associates through the use of the 5S methodologyRegularly conducts team meetings to discuss and assign responsibilitiesProvides immediate solutions to problems that might arise with machines, equipment, or facilities. Determines the root cause of any such problems and provides a solution to prevent or reduce the problem from occurring againLeads the preventative maintenance program on items including production equipment, boilers, chillers, air washers, air compressors, electrical panels, switch gears, fire alarm systems, and security systemsAssists the plant engineer in continuous improvementCollects and records data such as machine downtime, PM checklists, and parts usageAssists the supply room coordinator in ordering parts and reducing the MRO costsMaintains performance records on employees and routinely communicates performance to employeesSchedule employees' work time and vacation time to ensure proper coverage for plantPerform other duties as required.What You HaveIn depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment and systems requiredIn depth knowledge of facilities maintenance requiredThree or more years of supervisor experience requiredAssociates Degree or Technical Certificate in related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Possess a technical aptitude to read and understand technical documents and instructions such as blue prints, electrical schematics, mechanical and machine drawings for installations, troubleshooting and repairCore competencies include: The ability to read and write in Standard English, the proficiency in performing basic math calculations, the ability to analyze and interpret data and charts, and the basic knowledge of using a computerSuccessful completion of all training and ability to operate and performs preventative maintenance on assigned department equipment, machinery, tools, etc.Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety trainingMohawk Industries is a leading global flooring manufacturer that creates products to enhance residential and commercial spaces around the world.
