Doherty Career Solutions is partnering with a local Brainerd, MN company as they search for a Mill Manager to join the thriving team. This position will be responsible for overseeing mill production regarding grinding raw ingredients into food on a large scale. This position requires a strong communicator and leader with a humble servant leadership style. The Mill Manager is a key part of the organization and will run 1st shift hours but needs to be available on call. Exceptional benefits and a competitive salary range. Job Duties:Manage the day-to-day operation of the mill.Ability to be a working manager in the mill operation and oversee staff. Work with the team to ensure product is safely processed to meet the production schedule needs and assist in organizing run order. Follow Quality guidelines and standards according to food safety rules.Communicate team goals and manage performance within the Mill on a weekly basis. Provide positive and constructive feedback on an ongoing basis including disciplinary action.Communicate effectively with all departments of the manufacturing facilities.Train new and current team members on SOPs, as well as ensuring all SOPs are followed.Manage time clock records and time off management for Mill team.Assist in coordinating facility deliveries.Assist Mill Coordinator in inventory issues, cycle retire, and rework usage.Add and update work requests as needed and work with maintenance on preventative maintenance schedules to schedule hammer changes and communicate on wear parts to be ordered as needed.Communicate and manage pertinent vendor contracts. Must be knowledgeable in all mill positions to be able to improve efficiencies.Mill sanitation as needed.Job Requirements:3-5 years management experience required.Computer experience required, Microsoft Office and ability to learn inventory management and ERP system. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety minded environment.Interested in learning more?
